Book Reviews

Barbara James:

"Another winner."

This was a more difficult book to read in that it touched on a very difficult subject, foster children. I think it was handled with incredible sensitivity, and I actually shed a few tears thinking about Billy and the other kids. I liked that Kel has his flaws, and loved Maggie's spirit, and her attitude of helping others. I'd say this has been my favorite of the series, I like that there was more emphasis on the fight of good versus evil in a topical and timely setting. Definitely been my favorite of the series and I look forward to the next story.

Irene Talbert:

"Love this series..."

This is the second book in the Gargoyles in Uniform series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, friends, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, fear, anger, stubbornness, struggles, happiness, caring, determination, romance, passion/lust and love.

This story involves foster children who are disappearing. A social working asks the H for help in finding a certain missing foster child. Will he be able to help?

Read to find out what happens. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed this book and this review is my own opinion.

"Fairy love."

A very good story. I liked the way that Kel and Maggie worked together to help the kids get free. Very sweet and he helped her not told her what to do for her own good.

Barbara A. Watts:

"Stone Savior, Great story."

The second book in the Gargoyles in Uniform series a short well written story that kept me turning pages. Social worker Maggie O’Grady and Gargoyle shifter Kel Halloway's story there is suspense, drama, danger, a missing boy, villains, a fairy, goblins, missing children, villains closer than they know, and romance. I want to read the next book.

Gargoyle shifter plays football with the boys in the park but today he notices one is missing and the others tell him they have not seen him around for several days so later he decides to call around and see if there is a problem. Case worker Maggie O'Grady arrives a few minutes late for her appointment with foster child Billy Malone but gets no answer and is sure something is wrong. She encounters Kel who is also worried and he sneaks into the house and finds it empty Like they have moved out. Her boss tells her to forget about it and enjoy the weekend but Maggie and Kel are worried and plan to find out more.

Good2cu:

"Great story."

This is the story of Maggie and Kel. She is a social worker working a case when the boy goes missing. She needs to find him and ask Kel for his help. The more they dig into the case the more complicated things get. Will they get to the boy in time? I enjoyed this heartfelt story.

Emily Pennington:

"Interesting series!!!"

Maggie O’Grady, a social worker, is seeing her foster children go missing. She needs help from someone with special skills and many connections, so she contacts Kel Halloway to help her find out what’s going on and where the missing kids are. Kel and Maggie work together well. What they ultimately find is corruption in the higher levels of the Philadelphia government and a hidden agenda they definitely want to keep under wraps. Can Kel and Maggie locate the children in time to rescue them? Can they stop the hideous plot involving the foster children being kidnapped?

The story line keeps the reader intrigued as more information comes out in their search for missing foster children. Kel’s background was very helpful to him in dealing with the enemy behind this atrocity. Even Maggie has more in her background than she knew about, so there is lots going on in the story. Grab your copy and enjoy the mystery and suspense!

This is the second book in this series. It's fast paced and the storyline will keep you entertained until the very end. Plenty of action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, fear, strength, passion/lust and love. Poor Maggie, a social worker, is losing her foster kids. She needs help and has asked Kel to help her. This leads them to corruption in the upper Philadelphia government and a secret that being hidden. Will they be able to find the boy before he disappears forever?

"Great Paranormal Romance."

Great addition to the Sci-Fi/Paranormal Romance genre!
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world she created.
The attitudes toward the events that are happening make the story even richer and the characters more relatable.

Scarolet Ellis:

"Awesome Gargoyle Story!"

Stone Savior (Gargoyles in Uniform Book Two) by Chris Redding is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the rest of this series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about gargoyles, science fantasy, Sci-Fi and paranormal romance

Second book of Gargoyles in Uniform is just as good as the first and like the first one it is a standalone. In this book Stone Savior, Maggie O’Grady is a social worker and when a boy she is in charge of goes missing she will have to depend on Kel and his friends to help her find him. This is a great book for those of you into Gargoyles. I have not read that much on them and found that I really am enjoying this series. I look forward for more from this author.

Kel, a gargoyle with a lot of time at hand, likes to spend time with the neighborhood boys, playing ball or doing other things - all out in the open. When one of the boys, 10-year-old Billy, who is fostered out, does not show for a few days, he is worried.and goes to his house to find Maggie, his case worker, also worried about his and his foster-families absence. One whiff makes it clear that the foster parents are goblins and Kel's worries increase so much he is calling in his gargoyle friends. Maggie keeps up with them, as she is genuinely worried about Billy.
A great second book to the series, although it could still be read as a stand-alone. The story is only loosely related to the STONE GUARDIAN.
Entertaining, with suspenseful as well as sweet moments embedded into the story it is a great read.

A quick read that follows Maggie, a social worker, and Kel, an owner in Grotesque. They meet while searching for a missing foster kid who is part of a trafficking ring by the goblins.

 "Saving a life."

A social worker and a gargoyle must work together to save a boy from a bad fate

Sarah Milnthorpe:

 "A great read."

This is a really good book, I did have a lot of question left unanswered but it’s a series so I hope they get answered in the next book. No really love and lust but a lot of understanding and respect, my only problem was there was no HEA or HFN not even in the epilogue. I like the chemistry between them and that the villains can be close to home but not keen on children being involved but glad they could set the children free.

Dorothy S.:

 "The Search Unites Them."

Maggie is a former foster kid, now a social worker who is concerned about Billy missing their meeting. Kel has time on his hands, now that he isn’t in the military and is a coowner of Grotesque, a popup nightclub. He notices that Billy hasn’t shown up for neighborhood football games lately. Maggie and Kel meet while looking for Billy at his foster home and, although Kel is reluctant to get involved, and Maggie is told to leave it alone, they investigate what may be an insidious conspiracy. I enjoyed the relationship between Maggie and Kel, and even though they both had trust issues, their slow burn romance develops.
